About The SCOLLAR Trust

The SCOLLAR Trust is a dynamic Southend based charity that currently works with schools and other learning organisations. The Trust was established in 2004 as a limited company with charitable status and since its establishment, it has generated over £4m of new funding and managed a number of major projects with a turnover of about £3.5m a year.

The Trust seeks to fulfil its charitable aim of:

“advancing education by providing additional or new learning opportunities for the benefit of learners in Essex in imaginative forward looking ways”.

The core activities are around support, development and training, project management and partnership working. The Trust has won Business Awards in 2005 and 2006 and has two high profile patrons in Lord Petre, the Lord Lieutenant of Essex and the internationally acclaimed, Academy Award winning actress, Dame Helen Mirren.
