Optima Conferences

Since the project began, five extremely varied, interesting and inspiring conferences have taken place at SEEC. Teachers and pupils participated in a variety of interactive activities, completing curriculum related workbooks, questionnaires and task sheets. The conferences that have been held are:

- Science and Technology
- Business and Technology
- Art, Performing Arts and Media

The conferences have included:

Keynote Speakers - NHS Trust Workforce Development Campaign for Science & Engineering, Chamber of Commerce, Hood Group, South East Essex College.
Exhibition areas - St John's Ambulance, Army Medical Corp, Primary Care Trust, St Luke's Hospice, Essex Air Ambulance, Armed Forces, Essex Wildlife Trust, University of Essex, Inst. of Chemical Engineers, HSBC, Dedman Property Services.
Workshops and Seminars - A heart attack patient, Range of aids available for those with disibilities, Presentation on lip reading, Redesign work, Dance workshop.
Professional panel and Witness Sessions - Staff discuss their personal careers and career opportunities.
Curriculum linked practical activities - Bathing Baby, First Aid, Computer Technology, Quarantine, Forensics, Computer icons, Logo design, Customer Care, Videoing.
